I think getting started is a good header. GETTING STARTED. This is the beginning of beautiful things to come. When you start something New, it's the best time to Run with it! The new equipment, new clothing, new things to learn, and new people. New is great! And that’s what is cool about "Getting Started". All of the New stuff that comes with it. As I began to gather my material for hopes of starting a New career in music, it became clear that I was on the right path. Doors open, and we walk right through.
Given the opportunity to step into a professional studio here in Hawaii, I was eager to get started and make some music of my own. After years of songwriting and band hopping I realized it is up to me to GET STARTED! So here we go! Into the studio, lets record a Country song!..........What? a Country song? Yes! I wrote this little tune one night and thought the world would like it. We began recording in July 2009 of the Single," Pick up some Beer!" I hired a few friends to record as my band, and started working on my first Pro Recording. With the help of Ben at Vibe Asylum in Honolulu HI, I was able to build the song into what far exceeded my expectations. Now seven months later, I am proud to present this song to my family, friends and the public. Available for download in February 2010.
A special thanks goes out to my friends and family who support me in all I do. Without each other what can we do? And thanks to those who helped bring this song to life. Local musicians here in Hawaii continue to impress me, from Joel on the Dobro Guitar to Abey rockin the harmonica. I am lovin' the lifestyle of making music.
Looking ahead at my palette, and trying to decide which song is privileged enough to make it into production. Should I go with the Never recorded Barnburner album? Or maybe some of the New Hip Hop songs I have written? Or if you guys really like the Country, Maybe I will do an entire Country album next!
